HIGH SCHOOL ENGLISH MODULE NO.1 : GIVING AND RECEIVING CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK

What is this module all about?:

Imagine how your life would be like if you cannot speak. What if you can speak but the people around you cannot hear. It would be very difficult, wouldn’t it?
We are blessed with the capacity to say things and express ourselves through the use of languages. We can hear and receive information from other people. The ability to use and understand language is a gift that human beings often take for granted. We use this gift every day. . . to talk to people and communicate, unmindful of its value. The wonderful gift of language is very important to humans. It is unfortunate however, that in spite of our special ability to use this gift of language, communication between and among us is often not very effective. This may be because of the wrong choice of words which result to hurt feelings, confusion and misunderstanding. This bogs down the communication process.

This module, will teach you all  about the communication process. It will also help you discover the importance of the gift of language and how you can be a better communicator. Finally, it will teach you how to effectively give and receive constructive feedback.

This module is made up of three lessons:

HIGH SCHOOL MODULE SCIENCE NO.1 - Ang polusyon sa tubig

Ano ang pag-aaralan sa modyul na ito?

Ang tubig ang pinakamahalaga at marahil pinakamadalas gamitin na materyal sa buong mundo. Mahigit pitumpung porsyento (70%) ng mundo ay binubuo ng tubig. Ito ay sapat na upang matustusan ang mga pangangailangan ng tao, hayop at halaman. Ngunit, kahit na sapat ang dami ng tubig sa mundo, nakararanas pa rin tayo nang kakulangan sa tubig.

Sa modyul na ito, ipakikilala namin sa iyo ang lahat ng uri ng polusyon sa tubig. Malalaman mo kung paano nadudumhan ang tubig sa mga ilog. Iyong makikilala ang mga masasamang epekto ng polusyon sa tubig sa kalusugan, tahanan, kalikasan at ekonomiya. Tuturuan ka ng mga payo o safety tips upang mapangalagaan mo ang iyong kalusugan laban sa mga nakalalasong kemikal na hindi sadyang naitapon sa tubig. Upang malunasan ang suliraning ito, matututuhan mo kung paano magtipid ng tubig at kung paano mapapangalagaan ang mga pinagkukunan ng tubig.

WHAT IS THIS MODULE ABOUT? 

This module will be divided into two parts. The first part deals with proper telephone manners and the proper way to answer the phone. This is very important today since the cell phone is easily accessible to everyone. The second part deals with the proper expressions that are used in everyday work and in school. We understand that this module will require you to speak in English. Remember, that the best way to speak the language is to practice using it. This module invites you to practice speaking english. Do not be afraid to commit mistakes. Just practice and learn from your mistakes.

While watching the video,  compare the two situations that was presented. Which of the two represent the proper way of answering a telephone call. Why? What made the first situation an improper way of answering the phone?

ELEMENTARY SCIENCE MODULE # 1: Unawain ang ating mga sense organs

Para saan ang modyul na ito:  Sa modyul na ito ating pag-aaralan kung paano gumagana ang ating mga mata, tainga, dila, ilong at balat. Ito ang ating mga sense organs. Pag nauunawaan natin kung paano sila gumagana ay mauunawaan din natin kung paano sila aalagaan. Inaasahan na pagkatapos ng modyul na ito ay mas mapapangalagaan mo ang iyong mga sense organs.

Basahin ang Modyul: Simulan mo basahin ang modyul. Maari mo din namang panoorin ang mga video kung sa palagay mo ay mas makakatulong sa inyo ang mga video na kasama sa modyul na ito. Pagkapatapos ng bawat aralin ay sagutin ang mga pagsusulit sa inyong yellow pad at ipa-tsek ito sa inyong mga guro.
